Bait Preserve Liquid

Bait Preserve Liquid, also known as Mono Propylene Glycol, is the most commonly used preservative by boilie manufacturers in Europe. Thanks to its antifungal properties, it effectively inhibits bacterial growth. The MPG sold by Baitshop comes from the food industry and has a minimum purity level of 99.5%.

It appears as a transparent, completely odorless liquid that does not affect the taste, smell, pH, or digestibility of boilies, making it a non-aggressive preservation method. Regarding color, it has the property of slightly enhancing it.

The dosage of this ingredient depends greatly on the other ingredients used and the moisture level in the boilies. For a preservation period of at least 2 months, we recommend using 10-15% of the total liquid content in the boilies. If you wish to extend the preservation period to at least 6 months, the dosage should be increased to 25% of the total liquid content. If the total liquid portion is not precisely measured, you can test with an approximate dosage of 50-75 ml for 2 months and 100-150 ml for 6 months.

Another important aspect is the use of raw egg, which is by far the most perishable ingredient in boilies. Therefore, replacing it with Actipro EP60 Egg Compound powder significantly reduces the risk of spoilage. Additionally, it is essential that the drying time is at least 48 hours, and the packaged boilies should be stored in cool places, away from sudden temperature changes or direct sunlight.

Bait Preserve Liquid can also be used for preserving nutritional dips. In this case, we recommend using it at a 25% ratio of the total liquid content, meaning 75 ml of dip with 25 ml of Bait Preserve Liquid.
