Kelp meal is a cold-water seaweed, scientifically known as Ascophyllum Nodosum, harvested from the Atlantic Ocean and processed in Norway. The production process involves natural sun-drying for a specific period, followed by grinding into various particle sizes, depending on its application.

The version offered by Baitshop Romania contains particles sized between 0.8–1.9 mm, making it the most effective option for boilie production due to its role in improving the mechanical properties of boilies in water. As a dehydrated product, kelp begins to rehydrate upon contact with liquids, expanding in volume and facilitating a much faster release of attractants from the boilies. If not used for this purpose, we recommend hydrating it with water 24 hours prior to incorporating it into your mix.

From a nutritional perspective, kelp is highly valued in both animal and human nutrition due to its high content of vitamins A, B1, B2, C, D, and E, as well as minerals such as zinc, magnesium, iron, potassium, and calcium, wich has been found in its highest natural concentration in kelp.

It comes in the form of olive-green, insoluble granules that enhance texture and leave a significant impact on the final taste and aroma of boilies.
